Class 9 | Chapter 13 | Surface areas and Volumes | Example 18

Example 18: A shot-putt is a metallic sphere of radius 4.9 cm. If the density of the metal is 7.8 g per cm3, find the mass of the shot-putt.

Sphere – Volume

Volume of sphere = 4πr³/3

Volume of hemisphere = 2πr³/3

r = base radius of sphere

What is Area / Surface area / Volume

It is recommended to understand the core concept of area, surface area and volume before we attempt any question based on these concepts.
