Question 9: Two circles intersect at two points B and C. Through B, two line segments ABD and PBQ are drawn to intersect the circles at A, D and P, Q respectively (see Fig. 10.40). Prove that ∠ACP = ∠QCD.

Prerequisite

Looking at the given figure, this seems to be a very difficult question to solve. But it is exactly opposite. A very easy question to solve. All you need is have a close look at the given figure and apply following theorems.

Theorem 10.9: Angles in the same segment of a circle are equal.

 

Theorem 6.1: If two lines intersect each other, then the vertically opposite angles are equal.
