Class 9 - Lines & AnglesAlternate interior angles theorem, Class 9 math tutorials, Lines and angles, math, mathemafia, mathematics, NCERT
Theorem 6.2: If a transversal intersects two parallel lines, then each pair of alternate interior angles is equal.
Prerequisite
This is one of the most easy to prove and widely used theorem to prove other theorems in geometry. You must have a good understanding of transversal and vertically opposite angles. It is recommended to watch these tutorials in case you are not aware of these concepts.
Transversal Line and the important concepts related to it
Vertically opposite angles theorem: If two lines intersect each other, then the vertically opposite angles are equal.
